KS3 end of year tests 2018

As we approach the end of year at Queen Elizabeth’s Academy, we will be setting tests for our key stage 3 students. The end of year test is used to gauge how much knowledge the students have gained over the year and will be used for teachers to evaluate any gaps in future lessons. It is influential for us in giving feedback to students and modifying lessons as a result, together with us celebrating success and ensuring support is given to students who may need it.

We are constantly assessing students throughout the year. However, we feel it is also important that we prepare our students for the experience of sitting formal externally assessed examinations – therefore we will have some internally organised formal end of year tests in the summer term.

As part of our homework policy, students will have been given knowledge organisers to revise throughout the year and have been constantly quizzed on their subject knowledge.

Students should use their knowledge organisers to help them to prepare for the test. Subject teachers will advise students about which ones they will need.
