All subjects at the academy provide students with knowledge organisers for each of the topics that they cover. These knowledge organisers are kept in knowledge folders that all students carry to every lesson. The folders contain pages where students record their homework as well as a book where they can complete any work done at home.

Students in all year groups are set homework in the form of retrieval tasks, such as learning key vocabulary, writing as much information from memory as they can for a given topic, or completing knowledge retrieval quizzes. These tasks are set to support students to consolidate the core knowledge they need to be successful within and across topics.

Homework should be completed by the date set by the teacher and where this is not done, a student may incur a detention. In a homework detention, students will be supported to complete the missing homework so that they do not miss out.
