Today at Queen Elizabeth’s Academy, the two chaplains from the Church of England academies within Diverse Academies met to co-ordinate their work to support students at the Hucknall Sixth Form Centre.
Mr McKibbin and Mr Rodriguez, from National Church of England Academy and Queen Elizabeth’s Academy respectively, joined their heads, hearts and hands (in prayer!) together to plan out a series of tutor visits, drop-in sessions, assemblies and workshops to link academy life, work life, Christian values and Christian faith.
Their hope is that working together they will be able to support our sixth form students to understand more about faith, how it is relevant now and connected to their future. Watch this space for further updates in the near future.
